A large, signed tapestry by French textile artist Gisèle Antoinette Pimbert (1929–1995), with a Millefleurs aesthetic. From the Indre-et-Loire region in the Loire Valley, France, Pimbert belonged to the post-war generation of French artisans who kept the medieval aesthetic tradition alive. She specialised in meticulously recreating by hand the great historical tapestries held in national museums, using high-quality rustic supports such as jute.
