This decorative metal relief panel is attributed to French sculptor André Bizette-Lindet (1906–1998), winner of the Prix de Rome. Its abstract composition evokes the stylised silhouettes of Viking longships sailing beneath the sun. The embossed metal, described as brass or gilded copper, features richly hammered textures and dynamic geometric lines. Its aesthetic draws on Mid-Century Modern design and the visual language of the 1960s and 1970s.
